Now that we're through all the Upcoming Games, let's take a look at Updates & DLCs for games we already know and love. A few of these updates have been talked about throughout the year with no solid proof of coming to fruition, but now, we have a true look at what's coming out for some of our favorite, already-released games.

📅 Release Date: December 12th

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5

💬 Comments: The news of a God of War DLC was well-received by more than a few people in our community. It's a brilliant game adored by many, so knowing there's more content on the horizon is always welcomed. The added bonus? It's free.

📅 Release Date: December 15th

🎮 Available Consoles: Nintendo Switch & PC

💬 Comments: I think it's easy to say we're excited for this one. We haven't played Dave the Diver yet but we've been in love with Dredge, so you can bet we'll do our best to cover this if and when possible! It will be a DLC for Dave the Diver, not Dredge, so bear that in mind if you're planning on picking it up.

📅 Release Date: Available Now & Spring 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5 & PC

💬 Comments: The Final Fantasy members of our community squealed knowing there's more on the horizon for Final Fantasy 16, and while we won't be covering it, we'll definitely keep you in the know about it.

📅 Release Date: January 9th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch, & PC

💬 Comments: SirDucky has always been a skilled FPS player, but it's been a while since he's played Apex. I have all of 3 matches played so I can't speak much on the topic of Apex. Also, while we enjoy the lore of Final Fantasy, we've never gotten into the games, but we can't help but think these characters give off Attack on Titan vibes... no? Just us? Moving on then...

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch & PC

💬 Comments: Even though No Man's Sky promised big things at the beginning and failed to deliver, they've over time improved their reputation with every update. They indeed had big goals, and that shows in the updates and love they've put into it over its life span. It's exciting to see even more new content for it and we hope it continues to prosper.

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

💬 Comments: While we've never been good at fighters, and Ducky has your standard Smash experience and skills, fighters aren't a genre either of us can get into. That being said, if it's your thing then you're in luck because the game just got a new character on their Roster, and they teased of a new 3v3 Battle Mode coming soon.

📅 Release Date: December 13th, 2023

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch, & PC

💬 Comments: Admittedly, I've never played a Warframe game and I'm not sure I ever will. That being said, I loved Destiny and this one gives me heavy Destiny vibes with some distinct differences. This is, as they've said on their website, "The beginning of Warframe's Next Epic Chapter". I imagine if you're a fan of the game already, now might be a good time to return to it. It also states that Cross Platform saves are now an option so if you've been looking forward to that, you're in luck.

Outlast Trials - Console Announcement

📅 Release Date: March 5th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

💬 Comments: Nope, nope, and more nope. I can't and won't touch this one. I couldn't make it 20 minutes in the first one and I most definitely won't be experiencing this one. Call me all the names you want, I don't care. I hate the feeling of being chased and having to run away. When it comes to fight or flight I'm a fight type of person so if I can't push through and wack my enemy down and out of my way, I just feel demoralized and like a flight animal. It's just not my style (lol). This announcement was just to state it'll be coming to Consoles as the game is already on PC, but regardless it was showcased so we're featuring it.

Ready or Not - 1.0 Release

📅 Release Date: December 13th, 2023

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

💬 Comments: Ready or Not has been in Early Access, but it's finally making its full Debut on December 13th. There are a ton of improvements coming in this update, so it's no "small" patch they've prepared for its official launch. They've overhauled everything from the clearing mechanics, AI teammate positioning, added new teammate commands altogether, and so much more. We've never played the game, but we imagine fans of this title have a lot to look forward to.

PC Exclusive

GTFO - The Final Chapter

📅 Release Date: Out Now

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

💬 Comments: While this game has far too much blood, gore, and horror in it for my taste, its Reviews make it clear that it's a beloved game regardless of my opinion. Fans of the franchise can rejoice that the final update of the game is here but will be sad knowing that this will be the true end of updates for the FPS. Hopefully the final update will be strong enough to carry itself through for a fair while longer regardless.

PC Exclusive

Palia - Nintendo Switch Release

📅 Release Date: December 14th, 2023

🎮 Available Consoles: PC & Nintendo Switch

💬 Comments: Fans of this adorable MMO Farming Sim are in absolute love with the news that it's finally making its way onto the Switch. We've spent a good 30+ hours in Palia and were invited to some of the earliest Alpha tests, so it's been a gem for us for a while. It doesn't cater to a more intense crowd, but for those who have been looking for a social and cozy MMO Life Sim, this is one to check out for sure. Now, you can do so from the comfort of your Switch.

The last thing we're featuring in our Articles about the Game Awards is a list of the Award Speeches, Game Presenters, and all Performances. That way, you can scroll through and see if there are any presenters or performances that you'd like to see with the ease of skipping the rest.

the game awards banner, the end

Well, that's truly everything we learned about during the Game Awards this year, and while there's a lot of drama surrounding rushed speeches and comments about it feeling more like E3 (RIP) than an awards ceremony, we're omitting all of that from this article.
