the game awards banner, world premieres

With all the excitement of who won each Award out of the way, we're going to get to the part that we're most excited about and that's all the amazing Upcoming Games that were showcased at the event. We got a first glimpse of some absolute goldies from studios we know and love and we're thrilled to be sharing them with you in this article. There are a LOT and all the trailers are embedded below for your ease and enjoyment. We'll make comments on a few of them, others we're not as excited for and will abstain from leaving our thoughts on. That being said, each game deserves your attention, so give them all an honest look before continuing your scrolling adventures.

Please note that all of these trailers were technically World Premiere trailers as the trailers themselves are new. Some games you may have known about prior, others, this was the first time we've ever heard of them.

We've sorted this list by release date and some just don't have one yet or only have a year, so bear with us and enjoy this boat we're in together as we sail through the mist of not knowing. Doesn't it suck? Yeah... but that's why we're here! To keep you informed. We've included each game's link, release date & planned consoles where and when we could, so if it's not there, either our last brain cell needs to be fired, or it just doesn't exist yet. But really, tell us if it's a brain cell issue on our behalf and we'll get it fixed.

📅 Release Date: December 15th, 2023

🎮 Available Consoles: Meta Quest Pro, 2 & 3

🖥️ Developer: Sanzaru Games, Inc.

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG, VR

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This game includes content such as Blood, Violence, Partial Nudity & Use of Alcohol

💬 Comments: We happen to be happy owners of a Meta Quest 2 and while I myself have yet to give any games a real spin, Ducky is quite the VR Master. I'm not confident we'll cover this one, but it looks quite enjoyable, blending RPG elements with Norse God lore and stories. You can expect what seems to be a fair bit of Hardcore Parkour, and even some relaxing fishing. We'll keep our eyes on it for sure.

📅 Release Date: January 18th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Ubisoft

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Platformer

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This game includes content such as blood, violence, and mild language.

💬 Comments: As an avid Metroidvania, Platformer, & Adventure lover (thanks to games like Ori), I'll personally be keeping my eyes on this one and look forward to the possibility of reviewing it. With the flashy combat effects and the emphasis of detail on boss fights, I look forward to seeing how this one does. Coming Day 1 to Ubisoft+

📅 Release Date: February 2nd, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Atlus, P Studio

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This game includes content such as blood, partial nudity, sexual themes, and violence.

💬 Comments: Honestly, I've struggled to get into the Persona Series and it's just this style of JRPG that despite my love for the art, animation and stories, I get bored of the gameplay by hour 10-20. They're beautiful games, but I likely won't cover this one.

Coming Day 1 to Xbox Game Pass

📅 Release Date: February 2nd, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Rocksteady Studios

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content

💬 Comments: So, despite my love for the Suicide Squad movie and the idea of them rising up to defeat the "good guys" being amazing, I've just never been into superhero games so we'll be sitting this one out. Feel free to tell us your favorite superhero moments in the comments though and maybe we'll change our mind. It is coming to PC, so that's already a step up for us.

📅 Release Date: February 8th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5 & PC

🖥️ Developer: Arrowhead Game Studios

🏷️ Genre: 3rd Person Shooter

⚠️ Mature Content Description: HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person-camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

⚠️HEALTH WARNING: IF YOU HAVE A HISTORY OF EPILEPSY OR SEIZURES, CONSULT A DOCTOR BEFORE USE. CERTAIN PATTERNS MAY TRIGGER SEIZURES WITH NO PRIOR HISTORY. BEFORE USING AND FOR MORE DETAILS, SEE IMPORTANT HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNINGS

💬 Comments: We imagine any 3rd-Person Shooter fans might enjoy this one. It seems to be nothing but consistent gunplay against hoards of enemies and offering tons of property destruction in the process. It does offer Online Co-Op so bring a few friends along for the journey. I'm not confident we'd get the opportunity to cover this one, but if so, we'll assemble the team for it and provide our thoughts.

📅 Release Date: February 13th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Don't Nod

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content

💬 Comments: Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a Cinematic Action-RPG all about a not-so-disney love story. I'm not big into spooky ga mes, but this one seems just dramatic enough that I might talk Ducky into playing it. He enjoys Soulslike so the creepiness shouldn't bother him at all, and then I'll get to watch the story unfold. Regardless, this is one to keep your eyes on for sure if you're a fan of the RPG genre.

📅 Release Date: February 16th

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Ubisoft

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: There once was a ship that put to sea... not going to lie when I heard the theme song of this one I about grabbed a pint of ale and started dancing like a pirate. It's just such a good beat that you could probably put the next Sharknado movie trailer to it and I'd go see it just because of the song. Bias for the song aside, 3 player co-op ship battles against giant sea creatures and other enemies just seem like a good time for any pirate game fans. We might try and cover this since a few other games are coming to or are already on Ubisoft+ that we've been curious to try, so we'll keep you updated.

Coming Day 1 to Ubisoft+

📅 Release Date: February 28th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Avantgarden SRL

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: None Currently

💬 Comments: I didn't play the original, but a few friends and then some stated that they loved the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons game and are excited about this remake. We're hoping to cover it, and if so, it'll be fun coming from a fresh experience with the story to see how the game stands against other recent releases.

📅 Release Date: February 29th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5

🖥️ Developer: Square Enix

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Winner of the most anticipated game award this year, Final Fantasy fans can rejoice at this latest story coming to the Final Fantasy remake project. We struggle to get into the franchise, but we'll still keep you updated with all the news related to this one.

PS5 Exclusive

📅 Release Date: March 22nd, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5

🖥️ Developer: Team Ninja

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Sekiro fans should put this on their wishlist and keep an eye on it. While it doesn't appear to be as polished in some areas (yet), it has good potential. I haven't played any of Sekiro, nor watched much footage on it, so I can't give an honest comparison in detail or gameplay, but it does have all those same vibes you look forward to in this type of RPG. It will be a PS5 exclusive though, so bear that in mind.

PS5 Exclusive

📅 Release Date: April 23rd, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

🖥️ Developer: Surgent Studios

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: None currently.

💬 Comments: There's just something so gorgeous about the African accent mixed with their cultural music. This one delivers that Black Panther vibe with the Metroid Platformer experience we love so much. We'll cover this if we're given the opportunity... so pray for us.

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: August 20th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Game Science

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content

💬 Comments: Wukong has been a popular God in media recently. We've seen him in multiple films, games, and just general conversation within the community. Black Myth Wukong appears to be doing great justice to him with this intense Soulslike RPG. The graphics, the music, the voice acting, the dramatic cut-scenes, and epic boss battles, it's set up for greatness, or... at least... that's what we're hoping. Obviously, we won't know until it's officially here, but we're impressed with what they've given us so far.

📅 Release Date: September 9th, 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Saber Interactive

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Gameplay consists of frequent combat scenarios with characters using their weapons to slash/stab enemies. Strong Language is used in the dialogue.

💬 Comments: I've grown up around Warhammer 40,000 due to my brother being an avid fan of the universe. From the books, to the figures, to the games, he enjoys them all. It's why I always feel the need to feature these games. This one is curious to me as it feels Soulslike in nature yet attempts to blend that dark-feeling fantasy world with futuristic weapons. The combat is a mix of hack and slash meets shooter, and that's a bold goal considering those genres are hard to blend, but doing so with multiple themes as well might leave some overwhelmed. I suppose we'll see what its future holds.

📅 Release Date: Spring of 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Donkey Crew

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG, Simulation

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content

💬 Comments: Honestly, we're always up for new survival games to play with friends, and more specifically in the Simulation and RPG genres. Bellwright offers above-average graphics with interesting town-builder mechanics, accompanied by what seems to be clan-based combat. It also states on the Steam page that Online Co-Op will be an option, so we're curious to see what this one's going to look like in the end.

📅 Release Date: Summer of 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: NEXON Games Co., Ltd.

🏷️ Genre: Action, Looter-Shooter

⚠️ Mature Content Description: The First Descendant is a TPS (Third-Person Shooter), which contains violence involving guns & explosives against monsters similar or not to human beings, repetitive yet not too intense. The blood effects displayed when being attacked or attacking an opponent are not realistic but accompany VFX/SFX.

💬 Comments: You can't help but admire the high-res and beautifully detailed graphics of the cinematics in the trailer for The First Descendent, and the audio doesn't leave you hanging either. Showcasing epic battle scenes, dramatic voice-acting, and suspense-filled moments, we'll absolutely be looking forward to this one. It gives you a God-Of-War meets futuristic vibes and it has our interest piqued.

📅 Release Date: Early Access in Summer of 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

🖥️ Developer: Frost Giant Studios

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure, Real-Time Strategy

⚠️ Mature Content Description: None currently.

💬 Comments: The trailer we got to see about Stormgate boasts some big things on the horizon. From being a spiritual successor to Warcraft 3, to having the Chainsmokers assisting them in the audio department, and even the fancy cinematic scenes. I think RTS fans might squeal a bit for this one and it wouldn't be without good reason. It's coming to Early Access Summer of 2024 and we'll keep you updated on its development.

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: Fall 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Studio Zero

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Right before this trailer played our community quite literally said "When do we get a new Persona game", and this is probably a spiritual successor to it, so while you're not getting a new Persona game, you are getting a game from the same developers in the same style, so rest easy knowing you'll at least get to explore a new universe with the beloved Anime art style while you wait.

📅 Release Date: Late 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: Xbox S/X, PS5 & PC

🖥️ Developer: Don't Nod

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is another story from the Creators of Life Is Strange, so if you love that cinematic, story-driven RPG where each choice you make has you venturing down a different path, then this is one to keep your eyes on closely.

📅 Release Date: Early Access 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

🖥️ Developer: Motion Twin

🏷️ Genre: Action, Roguelite

⚠️ Mature Content Description: None Currently but the trailer features blood and gore.

💬 Comments: By the Creator of Dead Cells should say a lot and if not, that's okay, but just know that this game is set up to be an exciting one for sure. Despite the bloody cinematics, we can imagine the gameplay will be mostly PG, offering that "look at my shiny abilities" feel that we adore in Roguelikes & lites. It offers Co-Op play as well, so if Ducky & I get the opportunity, we'll let you know what it's like.

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: States PC, Consoles & VR

🖥️ Developer: Puddle

🏷️ Genre: Action, Racing

⚠️ Mature Content Description: None Currently.

💬 Comments: This one's just downright trippy and I think I'd give myself a headache if I played this in VR, but if you're the type that enjoys an experience like that, then keep your eyes on this one. We don't have an incredible amount of details about it yet, but the Steam page is live at least.

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: Likely everything including your Mobile Devices

🖥️ Developer: 2D Boy

🏷️ Genre: Puzzle, Indie

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Now, I've never played the first World of Goo, and... I'm not convinced I'll play this one, but I know a few individuals who are obsessed with it, so we'll be keeping our eyes on it for them regardless.

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PC, Android & IOS

🖥️ Developer: miHoYo, Shanghai Miha Touring Film Technology Co., Ltd.

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Anime Characters, EDM, epic skill combinations to execute, bosses to take down, and glorious victory to be had... yes, Zenless Zone Zero will have quite a few impatiently tapping their toes hoping an official release date announcement comes sooner rather than later.

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: Xbox S/X, & PC 🖥️ Developer: Ninja Theory 🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure ⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: General Mature Content

💬 Comments: Gorgeous cinematics was a huge trend at the Game Awards this year, but the soundtrack of this one is pure beauty. Watching the band perform live on stage and how incredible they sounded regardless, was a true pleasure. This game is bursting with blood and gore, but if you're a fan of brutal combat RPG adventures, then put this one on your watch list and rejoice that it's coming to Xbox Game Pass. Even if the gameplay falls a tiny bit short, you're going to be in blissful ignorance with the audio it offers.

Coming Day 1 to Xbox Game Pass

📅 Release Date: 2024

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Square Enix

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Visions of Mana seems to offer that heartfelt JRPG feeling so many of us love. Even if I don't usually play the games, this one feels enough like Kingdom Hearts that I just might. With fancy visual flairs, big bosses to take down, and a gorgeous world tree to protect, what more could we ask for?

📅 Release Date: 2025

🎮 Available Consoles: PC (Currently)

🖥️ Developer: Finji

🏷️ Genre: Action, Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Currently no warning but some eerie / scary moments are referenced in the trailer.

💬 Comments: This one is just spooky enough to invoke a level of concern for your safety, but not scary enough to deter me from playing it if we get the chance. It's a long way off from the release date, but the story bits we're offered in the trailer have intrigued us enough to keep it on our Watch List, and patiently waiting for its arrival.

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: Flashed between 2025 & 2026, so something then??

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

🖥️ Developer: Daniel Mullins Games

🏷️ Genre: Adventure

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: General Mature Content

💬 Comments: This one is giving mind-ception and it's likely the intended design. We've seen a few games lately attempting to break the fifth and sixth barriers and we can't help but feel like this one might fall in the same category. Its vague clips of seemingly random gameplay will surely lead up to something... right?

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: 2025

🎮 Available Consoles: PC

🖥️ Developer: House House

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Co-OP

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Currently no warning.

💬 Comments: Okay, so SirDucky & I enjoyed the heck out of Untitled Goose Game but I the ridiculous look of these characters in a world that's the complete opposite seems like such a ridiculous concept we're not quite sure what to expect. This one is jam-packed with charm though and we'll check it out if we get the chance. It's a puzzle-based game featuring Co-Op play as well, so hopefully we'll get to share it with you in the future.

PC Exclusive

📅 Release Date: 2025

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Capcom

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: I've been waiting for the day that Monster Hunter goes truly open world and integrates a far better party-up system, the same as you'd find in your typical MMOs. Basically, I want Monster Hunter Open-World MMO, is that too much to ask for? Probably... but we'll keep hoping! Regardless, I'm more than intrigued as since a young age I've been watching my brother play every iteration of the Monster Hunter games and I myself enjoyed World, so we'll be excited to see what Monster Hunter Wilds is going to offer us.

the game awards banner, the dark unknown

So... now that we've gotten through everything we're at least mostly sure is coming out within the next 2 years, let's take a look at what we'll be watching and complaining about every time we see an update with no release date announcement. We can even have joyous conversations of "how dare they do this to us and make us wait for an amazing game". Jokes aside, there are some incredible games on this list and as much as we are excited, we're also not looking to rush into any new game flops as... there have been a fair few this year. This means that while we're ready to pledge our souls to some of these, we're waiting patiently for them to release and deliver on the promises these trailers are making.

🎮 Available Consoles: PC (For Now)

🖥️ Developer: Hello Games

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Survival, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating Pending

💬 Comments: It has my soul, and even if our buddy Joey was warning us not to fall for the big promises of the trailer since we know what happened with No Man's Sky, it captured us hook line, and sinker. What can we say... we like dragons. While we'll be waiting to see if this one will deliver better than No Man's Sky did, we're excited nonetheless.

PC Exclusive

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Saber Interactive

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Co-OP

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Ah yes, the classic scene of being trapped in a building with Raptors. Seems like you can now live out that scene in a game, I bet you just can't wait! Regardless of irrational fears, seeing how they handle the idea of this game will most certainly make or break it. It has the chance to be a truly epic dinosaur survival game for all the fans, so we'll keep our eyes on it.

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Moon Studios

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: I've been longing for a new Ori-esque game since I first experienced and finished it. It's left a huge gap in quality between it and other Metroids that leaves me disappointed with every copycat that's come after it. This game has me genuinely waiting for its release. The beautiful 3D world, the ambiatic music, and beautiful sound effects. The epic battles. It's all just Chef's Kiss Glorious and we can't wait to experience it. Even if it's not full Metroid style, the clever use of 2D and 3D angles makes it to intriguing to pass up. Private Division allowed us to cover After Us earlier this year and we're hoping we'll be allowed the opportunity for this one too, so here's to hoping.

🎮 Available Consoles: Netflix, PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, Nintendo Switch & PC

🖥️ Developer: Color Gray Games

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Indie

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: The trailer is too vague on this one for us to formulate any opinion. Even the Steam page only offers a few more clues, stating it's a new installment to their Award-winning detective saga with 15 cases taking place in the 1970s. I have no experience with this developer or saga myself, so I'm in the dark with it but we'll keep you posted.

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, PC, IOS & Android

🖥️ Developer: Hypergryph Co., Ltd.

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: The combat and cinematics of this one have me intrigued, and Final Fantasy lovers will surely want to check it out. I'll be curious to see how open-world this one ends up as one thing that keeps me from getting into most RPGs in this style is the lack of true open-world aspects. That being said, it boasts that you'll be able to explore the frontiers, so maybe we'll sign up to be part of the technical test and find out for sure.

🎮 Available Consoles: PC, Xbox S/X, Netflix (For Now)

🖥️ Developer: The Odd Gentlemen

🏷️ Genre: Music, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: We don't know much about this game yet, so, we can't offer any real insights, but I do love the fact that they're bringing deaf representation into the game world. Any games that dare to break the norm and offer representation for a community that we have yet to experience or learn about is always a favorite of mine so you can expect us to keep you informed about it.

Coming Day 1 to Xbox Game Pass

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Archetype Entertainment

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: I always get spooked by Sci-Fi space movies and games due to seeing Alien at too young of an age. Now, most times, I avoid the genre altogether, only being pulled in when it feels a bit less like a Sci-Fi horror, and more of an action-adventure like No Man's Sky, Destiny & Starfield. Exodus seems to be taking a few elements from each and blending them into a beautiful mix that has us eager for a release date announcement. If the cinematography in the trailer gets baked into the game consistently, it'll be an epic entry for sure.

🎮 Available Consoles: Unannounced

🖥️ Developer: Unseen

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: We don't have a lot to go on with Kemuri, and while the music got me right from the start, with the fancy parkour and ninja-style aesthetic keeping me intrigued, I'm not sure what to expect from the game at this point, so I'll save further comments for later. We'll be keeping our eyes on this one though as it seems to at least have an enticing cinematic trailer.

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X & PC

🖥️ Developer: Spike Chunsoft

🏷️ Genre: Action, Anime

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: I love anime and am an avid consumer of it, but I've always found Anime games to be so lacking, despite how incredible getting to explore their unique worlds is. That being said, Dragon Ball is a hot topic in our community and I could name about five people who will probably play this day one regardless, just due to being die-hard fans. While I won't be one of them, it's still an exciting upcoming release if you're a fan of the universe.

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Supermassive Games

🏷️ Genre: Adventure, Horror

⚠️ Mature Content Description: This Game may contain content not appropriate for all ages, or may not be appropriate for viewing at work: Frequent Violence or Gore, General Mature Content

💬 Comments: Dead by Daylight fans are probably jumping for joy at this announcement as it takes place in the same universe. I of course won't touch it, I can't handle jumpscare-type horror games and I'm not a fan of gore. There's always the chance that Ducky will get dragged into it by friends, and if that happens, we'll cover it for you. Regardless, this one showed quite the suspenseful cinematics filled with screams and blood, so don't worry, it'll be on trend for those horror fans.

🎮 Available Consoles: Unannounced, But made by Xbox Game Studios

🖥️ Developer: Kojima Productions

🏷️ Genre: ???

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: Okay... so... we really have no idea what this game is. Apart from a few vague lines that were given to us by Kojima during the awards like "it's unlike anything you've ever seen before", we don't have much to go on. We know Xbox Game Studios is working on it, but the project doesn't have anything but a placeholder article announcing that they're working on it, so don't expect to know much about it anytime soon. It does state it's a psychological type of game, so we can likely expect some horror elements at least.

Likely Coming Day 1 to Xbox Game Pass

🎮 Available Consoles: PS4/5, Xbox One/S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Neople

🏷️ Genre: Soulslike, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: “The First Berserker: Khazan” is an action game where violence repeatedly occurs using a sword against monsters that are similar or dissimilar to humans. Blood effects accompany when receiving attacks or attacking states.

💬 Comments: While I inherently refuse to play Soulslikes that are overly challenging to preserve my mental sanity, I adore watching SirDucky, who's three times more skilled with them, playthrough their stories. The First Berzerker Khazan offers a unique take on graphics with its JRPG character art style but beautifully realistic swordplay and dramatic abilities. Any fans of this genre should toss this one on their wishlist as the gameplay we've already gotten to see looks promising.

🎮 Available Consoles: Xbox S/X, & PC

🖥️ Developer: Archetype Entertainment

🏷️ Genre: Action, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: I love superhero movies, I do, but... I doubt I'll ever get into the games. Even the fact that Bethesda is working with Arkane doesn't have me excited after the release of Redfall. The duo lost a lot of faith with us on that project and while they've improved it quite a bit since release, it's still pretty rough. Now, I love the Marvel universe way more than DC so maybe this will be the game that gets me into them, but Spiderman didn't so we'll see if vampires are enough to entice me.

Likely Coming Day 1 to Xbox Game Pass

🎮 Available Consoles: Unannounced

🖥️ Developer: Lightspeed Studios

🏷️ Genre: Action, Narrative, RPG

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: This one pulls at the heartstrings with the trailer, invoking that concern for the child within it. You also get that sense of an overpowered Heroine who they called "the Demon" in the trailer, after she shows up, takes on an entire band of troops, and saves the day. It seems as though we'll be playing as this so-called heroine in a futuristic Tokyo. I have to say, it has me intrigued, so we'll be keeping our eyes on it.

🎮 Available Consoles: PS5, Xbox S/X, & PC

💬 Comments: Any time I see a mech-related game my mind flashes to Pacific Rim. A fantastic movie that made mechs look cool, even to someone who isn't particularly into the high-tech type of games and aesthetics. This game is doing the same thing, making mech-battles look action-packed and fun. If you're a fan of those things, then this one is one to keep an eye on for sure.

💬 Comments: Den of Wolves has a team of former Payday devs on their side so it's nothing to ignore. The trailer was a cinematic one, lacking gameplay like a few of the others in the Dark Unknown category, but at least we know the game is in experienced hands. It's a Heist Co-Op FPS just like Payday, so realistically it's set to be a good one.

PC Exclusive

🎮 Available Consoles: PC, Xbox, Playstation (Unclear on if it'll be limited to newer consoles)

🖥️ Developer: Sharkmob AB

🏷️ Genre: Action, Shooter

⚠️ Mature Content Description: Rating-Pending

💬 Comments: While this one showcased some awesome cinematics, we got next to nothing in terms of in-game content. The flashy scenes were awesome, and the idea of an extraction-based, tactical shooter is always a good one in theory, but with nothing to go on in terms of actual gameplay, we can't offer an opinion yet. We'll keep you updated.

🎮 Available Consoles: Likely All Consoles

💬 Comments: This announcement obviously sparked interest from any and every Sega fan as the idea of all these titles getting remade and improved upon isn't one to be ignored. I'm absolutely okay with them taking these old favorites and bringing them to life with the updated graphics of today. We have no other news as to these games' arrival dates, but I'm sure the entire world is keeping its eyes on at least one of the five remakes.
